HBN Teksti-TV was created in early November.
HBN teksti-tv was created to be a Finnish teletext service that can be read online or watched via a YouTube livestream
The teletext service aims to recreate most of 80s/90s Finnish teletext with fictional extras.
HBN teksti-tv pages are based on YLE Teksti-tv page designs
including news pages, newsreel intros and general page layouts
Pages are generated using Python scripts that fetch data from YLE RSS feeds.
HBN pages are updated every 30 minutes with up to date news, weather including metro timetables!
The service has changed a lot since the first edition of HBN Teksti-TV in late 2025.
HBN isn't a Precise recreation of YLE Teksti-TV but it simulates the experience accurately.

HBN is divided into magazines for easier navigation. Magazine 1 is news including weather. Magazine 2 is finance information. Magazine 3 is sports and sports results. Magazine 4 is travel news and information. Magazine 5 is TV/Radio guide
HBN Teksti tv was created around early November 2025 as I wanted to have my own teletext service with up to date news and information. My first ever teletext "service" was a service with static pages and using vbit2 to compile the pages into a t42 stream that I can view on teletext viewer this worked relatively fine but then it got annoying to modify the pages everyday. Around November with the help of the creator of BMN Bollentekst I was able to create a teletext service that gets news from Finnish RSS feeds and updates everyday.
